Summer 2024
In Summer 2024, undergraduate students Kyle Li ’26 and Mowen Zhao ’26 joined the Luo lab as undergrad research assistants. Kyle and Mowen contributed through lab space organization, equipment construction, and sample fabrication. The process of sample fabrication, specifically, includes preparing polymer pick-up stamps and the silicon wafers, exfoliating thin films from van der Waals crystals, and building the 2D heterostructures in our two transfer microscopes, which are named Tommy and Jerry.
